Paula is a freelance dance artist based in Mexico City undertaking choreographic, performing and teaching projects. Trained at The Place, London Contemporary Dance School as dancer and choreographer: MA in 2008 and BA Hons in 2006; during her degree she receives a grant to spend a semester in  SUNY Purchase, New York.

 

Since 2008 she has received several grants from Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes, Mexico (National Fund for the Culture and the Arts). In 2008 she founded the group of artists colectivo PAUSA en movimiento to reach different audiences, communities and spaces with creative and educational projects.

 

Paula has work with choreographers and companies as Phoenix Dance Theatre, Freddie Opoku-Addaie, Jean Abreu Dance and Oskola Projektua in the UK; CEPRODAC (National Centre for the Productions of Contemporary Dance), Foramen M., Dam Van Huynh and Mariana Bellotto in Mexico. Her choreographic work has been shown in London, New York, Chicago, Croatia, Spain, Indonesia, India, Burkina Faso and Mexico. Some of her works have also been included as part of the Foramen M. repertoire.
